Interlakes Hall was abuzz with vendors at the annual Roe Lake Christmas Bazaar on Nov. 16, and hundreds of residents came to do some Christmas shopping.
Door prizes went to Mieke McIntosh, Sharron Woloshyn, Howard Campbell and Danny Jenewein.
Freezer fundraiser
A Ladies Social Fundraiser is scheduled to raise money for a fast-freezing freezer for the Frozen Meal program, which is being handled at Interlakes Hall and serves the South Cariboo.
The event will be held at Wildmans Family Dining & Lounge on Dec. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and are available at The Country Pedlar and Wildmans. The cost comprises $20 for a buffet dinner and $10 towards the freezer.
Resort closed
Residents were shocked to learn that Moondance Bay Resort has closed permanently, with the retirement of owner Marie Genest.
Marie was always very community minded, eager to support Interlakes activities to the fullest extent. We wish Marie every good thing in the future.
Christmas party
Interlakes Snowmobile Club’s Christmas party is at the Armstrong residence, 6069 Horse Lake Rd., on Dec. 13 at 5 p.m.

Sedford showcased
Marilyn Sedford is December’s guest artiste in Bridge Lake Library’s Community Showcase.
The expert quilter needs no introduction, as she frequently teaches classes in advanced quilting techniques.
