The Solid Rock Cafe had an entertaining night with many great performances from local musicians and actors Dec. 16.

There were four different acts, including singers, guitar players and a skit performed by Dusty Sundman and Chad Lalonde during which they acted out scenes to music. They got the crowd laughing and really livened up the room.

There was a very interesting bluegrass song, played by Pat Melanson and Len Aune, which was about bugs falling in love.

Joy and Mary Martin showed the crowd their stunning voices and sang three amazing Christmas songs. It was Mary's first time performing there and she is only 12 years old.

Mary said she was very happy to be able to sing there and had a lot of fun, and would like to come back in the new year.

Melanson, who also co-coordinated the evening, said he was very happy with the turnout of more than 40 guests. Anyone who came enjoyed a variety of homemade cakes along with a cup of hot coffee.

Spectator Larry Coselich said he had never been to the Cafe before and was having a good time, and was very happy to have been invited to the event.

There were many people there to support their friends and family and everyone there was in great spirits. While this was the last Cafe for this year, it will start again on the third Friday in January and Melanson said he hopes it will turn into a tradition.

Overall, the Solid Rock Cafe was an amazing experience and is a great way to meet new people while being entertained.
