Range cleanup attracts 21 volunteers

An afternoon of hard work results in sparkling clean gun range

Twenty-one youth and adults recently cleaned up on old gun range at a gravel pit on the 1100 Road.

It was a rifle range 40-50 years ago, but now it’s just a place to go and shoot, and a lot of people from 100 Mile House and the area use it.

It was a mess, so folks just got together to clean it up. They hauled out 15 truck loads of garbage and had three fires going to clean up all the garbage wood.

It’s hoped people will use this area with respect and clean up after themselves by raking up empty hulls and cartridges.

Folks are asked to not shoot TVs, computers, propane cylinders and the like at the range.
