It’s good to finally be back! After a long break, and the demise of at least one computer I’m very pleased to be back in the saddle, writing for an even bigger area!

I’m looking forward to heading out to find all the events and local interest stories from Canim Hendrix Road and Hwy 97 to Buffalo Creek and Forest Grove.

I hope to be able to share our community’s beauty and diversity as well as important events, dates, anniversaries, birthdays, weddings and some general interest as well. I’ll be travelling one end of the area to the other, camera in hand seeking all the stories that need to be told.

This year I expect we’ll be seeing a lot of the special events that we all missed so much last year. I’m also confident that we’ll see local businesses and artisans flourishing and the area living up to its reputation as a fantastic place to live and visit. If you know of a Super Natural destination you’d like to see spotlighted (don’t worry, I’ll keep all the best fishing holes “Top Secret”) drop me a note and I’ll do my best to get out there and snap a few photos.

But I’ll need a bit of help, which is where you come in! If you have an important date (Birthdays, Anniversaries, Engagements) or event you’d like publicized, feel free to contact me at gina.myhill@gmail.com. It may take a while to get your information to print, so please try to give me as much notice as you can. Of course, you can always contact newsroom@100milefree press.net as well, and ask that your message also be forwarded to me. If you prefer to call or text please call 250-644-5277 to reach me directly.
