Prime rib, king crab dinner-auction tickets going fast

The always popular and delicious King Crab & Prime Rib Buffet and Auction is happening April 8.

This largest, tastiest and most important annual fundraiser hosted by the Big Country Shrine Club gets underway at 5 p.m. at 100 Mile Community Hall with a social time, with the buffet and auction beginning about 6:15.

"It's prime rib – and all the king crab legs you can eat," says local Shrine club vice-president Frank Dobbs.

The event includes a King Crab and prime rib beef dinner, prepared by the Red Rock Grill, and the always-stellar auction items up for grabs, including a week's rental on a convertible sports car, a Rocky Mountaineer train trip and a lake cruise in the Okanagan, with more details to follow.

Tickets are sold in advance for $75, and are available at the Red Rock Grill, 100 Mile Feed & Ranch Supply, Cariboo Supply & Marine and A&B Photo.

Dobbs says they are going quickly – individual tickets are limited to 200 – but groups can also still reserve tables for eight, while they last.

As always, proceeds from this Shriners in the Community fundraiser support the Shriner Child Services Society and benefit the local community's sick children whenever its families in the most need of assistance can be identified, he explains.

Call Frank Dobbs at 250-395-6355 or Glen Clancy at 250-396-7185 for more information or to donate auction items for the event.
