Immigration assistance available

Welcoming Communities funding provides service to newcomers

Are you new to the community?

Welcoming Communities has a new funder and a new look. The new Community Orientation and Settlement Services program will be funded for the next two years by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Free support is now available for newcomers to Canada who are living, or hoping to live, in the South Cariboo area.

This service offers general community information and orientation, assistance with visa, permanent residency, and citizenship applications, and more.

Completing these forms can be a daunting task, especially for those who speak English as a second language. This service will make understanding the terms of the application and the process much simpler.

Another challenge in immigration is adjusting to life in your new country.

Settlement assistance is more than just the paperwork. It is about meeting new friends, getting involved in the community, and feeling at home.

Bring your questions and your concerns about life after immigration.
