With reference to the Oct. 14 meeting with George Abbott at the Interlakes Community Centre (ICC) regarding Interlakes governance issues, Abbott will return on Dec. 16.
He will hold individual interviews from 3 to 5:45 p.m. There will be a public meeting from 6 to 8 p.m., during which Abbott will report on the findings of his October review, and answer questions that arise.
If you wish to have an individual (person or group) interview, contact Alice Johnston at the Cariboo Regional District at 1-800-665-1636, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
In spite of having to weather a huge snowstorm, several hundred visitors packed ICC for the annual Roe Lake Christmas Bazaar, Nov. 15.
Said Co-ordinator Lorraine Jerema: “We had a wide variety of vendors, including chocolates, doggie treats and welded art – 27 in all – and they all seemed happy. There was something for every one, so it was really nice.”
Door prizes went to Julia Brand, Robin Child, Ted Child, Amber Conway, Marilyn Harvey, Con McLatchy, Rose Martin, Perry Unruh and Lynda Weiss.
Interlakes Christmas Giftboxes will be assembled and distributed from the ICC on Dec. 19.
Anyone who would like one, or knows someone who would like one, should call Donna Jarvis at 250-593-4541.
