Flu Clinics slated

Pharmasave offers flu shots for preventive action

The return of the cool weather brings an increased threat of influenza, but help to avoid contracting the virus is available.

Flu shot clinics have returned to Pharmasave in 100 Mile House and will be offered today (Oct. 18) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and then again on Oct. 21 (9:30-noon) and Oct. 30 (9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.).

Publicly-funded flu shots are available for those who qualify, and for anyone else, are provided for a $19.99 fee.

Folks are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and get a flu shot early, and in advance of the fast-approaching flu season.

For more information on who should get a flu shot, visit www.healthlinkbc.ca/healthfiles/hfile12d.stm.

To find out if you are eligible for a free flu shot, talk to your health-care provider or call HealthLinkBC at 8-1-1.

Pharmasave is located in the Cariboo Mall.
