The Fab Fourever from Vancouver performs their tribute to the Beatles on May 14 at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre.

"If you want it, here it is, come and get it," - tickets, that is, for "A Tribute to the Beatles" one-night performance by the Fab Fourever band from Vancouver.

The show takes place on May 14 at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre, with representation from four eras of the legendary British band's music.

Rob Fry, who is involved in hosting the concert, says there will be two costume changes in each half of the performance, including the black suits of 1964, when the Beatles debuted on the Ed Sullivan show, and also the colourful Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band outfits.

A break midway through the show will feature premiere performances by the soon-to-be-chosen South Cariboo Idol top 10 finalists, and during the evening, the winner of the "Beatles Most Fabulous Singer Contest" will join Fab Fourever on stage for a song.

Lisa Leslie, Miss Teen Central British Columbia - World and a former South Cariboo Idol top 10 contestant, will open the idol segment of the show with a song, and later, join master of ceremonies Larry Rode to commentate.

Fry would like to see concert-goers really get into the spirit of the music and of the era.

"I hope that people come dressed up fabulously. It would be a lot of fun."

The concert starts at 7 p.m. but doors open at 5:30 p.m. so people can enjoy the refreshment garden or grab a bite to eat at the Rec. Centre concession.

Tickets for the concert are $25 each and can be purchased in advance at Donex, Didi's, Work N Play and at the 108 Supermarket.
