District applauds Communities in Bloom

A profile book highlighting CiB activities was presented by committee members Kevin Dicken, Angela Cole, Tom Bachynski and Shari Bachynski

The local Communities in Bloom (CiB) committee made a presentation to District of 100 Mile House at its Oct. 11 council meeting.

A profile book highlighting CiB activities was presented by committee members Kevin Dicken, Angela Cole, Tom Bachynski and Shari Bachynski.

Cole says the council applauded the group with a standing ovation after the presentation, which included committee members' experiences in the project.

"Likely the most positive impression was going about town, seeking out those hidden jewels that people are too modest to register.

"The enthusiasm and sheer delight that you took the time to recognize their efforts shows with the sparkle in their eyes and grins of acknowledgement."

The book explains the components of the profile that helped win the District of 100 Mile House a three-bloom rating from Communities in Bloom. It is available for downloading on the district's website at www.100milehouse.com.

"The Committee would like to thank the many partners who helped this event spring to life. Year after year our town will blossom with this partnership."
