Clinton Volunteer Fire Department needs help

More volunteers needed for Clinton fire department

The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department is asking residents who are interested in giving back to the community to join them.

The numbers of volunteer firefighters are down.

Anyone with an interest in training to protect his or her community can drop by the fire hall on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. The firefighters would be happy to show folks around and explain what is required to become a member.

Remembrance Day

The Remembrance Day Service will begin at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 11 in Clinton Memorial Hall.

Everyone is welcome to attend and honour the sacrifices made for all of us.

Aboriginal education agreement

Area residents are invited to attend the community conversation towards the renewal of the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement on Nov. 16.

This will be held at David Stoddart School beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a traditional welcome, followed by dinner and discussion on the enhancement agreement. This first community conversation is for the Secwepemc Territory.

Two more conversations will follow in Lillooet and Lytton. School District No. 74 (Gold Trail) advises that community members' input is valued and everyone is welcome to attend.

TV Society meeting

The Clinton and District TV Society rebroadcasts TV to the Big Bar area, 70 Mile House, South Green Lake, Clinton and Loon Lake.

Anyone in those areas who uses 'over the air' signal by antenna for their TV viewing is welcome to attend a meeting Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Clinton Library.
