The 108 Mile Ranch Volunteer Fire Department (108MRVFD) is thinking pink in its new Dress for the Cause fundraiser.

Fire chief Marcelle Ried says the firefighters will offer pink T-shirts emblazoned on the front with the fire department logo and Dress for the Cause, and “108 Mile Fire Department” across the back.

The funds raised will benefit both the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the 108MVFD, he explains. The T-shirts will be available for $20 near the entrance inside the 108 Mall on Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Come out and support breast cancer research and awareness by purchasing a Dress for the Cause T-shirt, and pick up some of the pamphlets and pink ribbons we’ll be handing out.”
