South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce volunteer Robert Stockford is gathering orders from organizations to have placements on the huge maps and directory listings located in front of the South Cariboo Visitor Centre.

Now may be the perfect time to get your organization placed on the map.

South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce volunteer Robert Stockford is accepting orders from its members for placements on the huge map located at the South Cariboo Visitor Centre, and says requests from anyone within the district may also be made.

Associated directory listings are categorized for businesses, events, services, resorts and accommodations, attractions and parks.

The main map of the District of 100 Mile House is flanked by a pair of directory listings, and there is also a separate map of the South Cariboo.

Stockford says options are available in gold, silver and bronze categories, ranging from larger package deals to smaller, more affordable choices.

The gold package includes a one-foot by two-foot ad on the main map, plus a three-inch by six-inch logo on the directory board.

A silver package offers a nine-inch by 16-inch ad on the map and a directory logo, and those purchasing a bronze deal will get a directory logo.

All packages also include a directory listing and a corresponding map marker cross-referencing to that, Stockford adds.

First priority for orders go to current or new Chamber of Commerce members, but he says others within the district boundaries can request a slot and he will determine if there is room.

The plan is to eventually pursue orders from members outside of the district, and possibly others, but he explains its members anywhere are welcome to order a sign now.

There is currently an added benefit to being a member, Stockford notes, with an expected spending influx of Chamber Bucks recently purchased by 100 Mile Lumber, a division of West Fraser Mills Ltd., and distributed to 175 of its employees.

Chamber Bucks can be redeemed at participating member businesses and encourage local spending.

"A major employer has recently purchased $100,000 in Chamber Bucks, so if you are not yet a member, this is a great time to get on board and take advantage of this money that will be circulating in the community."
