The South Cariboo Rec. Centre will be filled to the rafters inside and out, for the Fifth Annual South Cariboo Mega Show on May 11-13.
"We want to be able to give away a Mega Mother's Day Basket," says Canlan's office/sales and community program co-ordinator Tara Grinyer.
Because the show is on the Mother's Day weekend, she explains they want to offer a free draw for children to enter, and one lucky child could win the basket for his/her mom.
If there are any local businesses that would like to donate a gift or sponsor a gift, we would certainly appreciate it, Grinyer says, adding the gifts can range from slippers to bubble bath or anything to make the day special for a mother.
The show combines home improvement, home-based businesses and recreational vehicles in the parking lot.
A great variety of vendors will be there with booths and displays for their various products and services for everything you need for your home renovations, home furnishings, yard, garden, recreation, outdoor living, recreational vehicles and a lot more.
"We have a nice selection of local home-based businesses, ranging from coffee to herbal remedies, jewelry, woodworks and more. Other vendors include roofers, heating, vinyl decking and even docks."
As in past years, people are invited to enter their names at the Canlan booth for prizes, and some of the vendors will have their own draw boxes.
The Mega Show will be open Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10-5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is by donation and Grinyer says all proceeds are going to Kidsport [a program which helps youth play sports even if they can't afford the registration costs].
