The 100 Mile Curling Club is trying something new on March 17 this year. If you have been watching our amazing Olympians you will know that the hottest thing in curling clubs across Canada right now is mixed doubles curling.

Doubles curling can be mixed or just pairs and that is how we are going to start. We are hosting a one-day clinic to introduce this new version of our great sport to our existing membership, and to the community at large.

If you are already a member and want to try something new then this is a great way to start, if you have always wanted to try curling but couldn’t figure out how to get four people together and everything that goes with managing a team, then this is your moment.

Bring your co-worker, spouse, significant other … someone else’s spouse, we don’t judge! Just come out and curl!

We are having a morning and an afternoon clinic with the first one at 10 a.m. and the second at 1 p.m. Now here is the big news; it’s free! We will have a limited number of spaces so register early.

You can register down at the curling club or contact pjdoddridge@shaw.ca. Let’s all learn the rules of this new game and get ready to play in the new league for 2018.
