Gerry passed away in his home on June 17th, 2010. Gerry was born June 4th, 1921, in North Vancouver. He met his wife Margaret while serving in the Navy. Together they moved to the Cariboo, where they owned and operated Brown’s Western Drugs and where they raised their three children. They retired to Vancouver Island where they enjoyed their retirement years. Gerry was well-liked and will be remembered as a kind, generous, and supportive person.
Gerry was predeceased by his son Jim in 1994, his wife of 63 years, Margaret in 2008, and his sister Pat in 2009. He is survived by his son Drew and his children Jaimie and Austin, his daughter Annmarie (Dave) and her children Erica and Andrea, as well as friends and neighbours.
