1927 – 2009
Elis “Ed” Kalevi Sorjonen, age 82 of 100 Mile House, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 100 Mile Hospital.
He was born August 18, 1927 in Imatra, Finland. Ed came to Canada in 1951. He married Anita in 1972, and they moved to 100 Mile House in 1974. Ed owned Ed’s Auto Body for many years, and was a respected Auto Body Repairman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing pool.
Ed is survived by his wife Anita, and by many other loving family members.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 100 Mile Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, 310-1682 West 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6J 4S6.
