Don’t miss the 60th Bridge Lake Fair this weekend at Interlakes Community Centre and Interlakes Rodeo Grounds. Postponed from last year due to wildfires, this year will celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.

Entries are accepted all day Aug. 18 and the event is open to the public on Aug. 19.

Come and enjoy the exhibition, all-day music, small cuddly animals, a bouncy castle; and the inaugural horse-driving competition and chicken swap at the Rodeo Grounds.

The door prize is a basket of Canadian products, valued at $150.

Admission, which covers both venues, is $2 for adults; $1 for seniors and children aged five to eleven; wee ones are admitted free.

Show and Shine

Aug. 19 also brings Interlakes Economic Association’s 5th annual Show ’n Shine at Interlakes Service Centre, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Call 250-593-4114 to register your vehicle.
