The lure of a sunny long weekend of leisure wasn’t enough to keep 19 women from showing up for their weekly Ladies’ Day at the 108 Resort Golf Course on Aug. 1. Numbers were down
from the usual turnout, but enthusiasm was still at par as they played for the best low gross scores.
In the first flight, Clara Koehn and Judy Scarrow tied for first place and Susan Skidmore was awarded third place.
Char Wahnschaff won the par pot and the birdie pot was untouched.
Second flight play saw Janet Roux finish in the lead, followed by Patsy Wilkinson in second place and Shelley Larson in third.
The par pot went to Sharlene Anderson and the birdie pot was won by Wilkinson.
Sharon Claassen was the winner in third flight competition, followed by Pauline Weigelt in second place and Gloria Corno in third. The par pot went to Weigelt.
Ladies Golf Day at the 108 is held every Monday.
