Wade Cline expected to anchor the defensive core

Wranglers acquire defenceman with KIJHL experience

The 100 Mile House Wranglers Junior B Hockey Club has acquired 19-year-old defenceman Wade Cline from the Chase Heat for future considerations.

The six-foot 195-pound Cline has two Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) seasons behind him, during which he amassed 10 points and 305 penalty minutes in 74 career KIJHL games.

“The Wranglers will be a hard working team that is tough to play against and Wade is the right fit for our young team,” says general manager and head coach Doug Rogers.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Wade to the Wranglers and look for him to help anchor our back end.”

Cline will be arriving in 100 Mile House prior to Main Camp, which takes place Aug. 18-20 at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre.

Local players interested in attending main camp are encouraged to register in the very near future to ensure they can be considered.

Volunteers needed

Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for the Wranglers' inaugural season is encouraged to jump on board.

Help is needed in the following areas: event staff (event monitors and parking); guest services (game day ticket sales); off ice officials (goal judges, penalty box, scorekeeping); Booster Club (merchandise sales and on-ice promotions): and everything in between.
