Quick sports updates from the 100 Mile House and South Cariboo area.

KIJHL FINISHED

The KIJHL finished on March 30, leaving the Beaver Valley Nitehawks as the champions. The team defeated the Chase Heat 5-2, earning a clean 3-0 sweep in the last series of the 2016-2017 season. The 100 Mile House Wranglers were knocked out earlier in the playoffs to the Kamloops Storm.

SOCCER REFEREES NEEDED

The 100 Mile House Soccer Association is looking for referees. Costs for referee clinics are up to $129.25 but will be reimbursed by the association. The Small Sided Referee Clinic was on April 1, with an Entry Level Clinic scheduled on April 21, 22 & 23 (minimum age 14) and a Refresher Clinic scheduled for April 23.

BOWL FOR KIDS THIS SATURDAY

Big Brothers Big Sisters South Cariboo is holding their 2nd annual Bowl for Kids Sake on Saturday April 8 at Big Country Lanes. The theme is Pirates of the Caribbean.
