The 100 Mile House Curling Club saw a great weekend of junior curling action, Nov. 29-30.

Three teams from Prince George and three from 100 Mile House went head-to-head in a round robin-style tournament.

While it was teams from Prince George which won the first two spots, the local rink of Ethan Sikiric won third place.

“It was excellent curling,” says junior coach Maxine Todhunter. “The kids are really good curlers. They all really had a good time. They were tired because they curled five games in two days. It was a long stretch, but they held up really well.”

Member's of Sikiric's rink included Elaine Hefer, Chance Bourassa and Logan Sikiric.

Also representing 100 Mile House were Ashley Holyk, Michelle Parkins, Haley McNabb, Naomi Villeneuve and Rachel Sikiric.

Eric Schuurman, Kolton Lindner, Dirk Schuurman and Jordan Conway made up a third team.

The bonspiel was in preparation for the Zone playdowns in Williams Lake, which go Jan. 23-25.
