The 100 Mile House men's fastball league is nearing crunch time with playoffs set next week. Teams continue to jostle for positioning.

Here are the latest results from regular season play:

Jake's Pub Old Buds brought in 18 runs and the Pharmasave bantams put up eight on July 3.

Trevor McMahon fired three strike outs for the bantams and Greg Parent threw three for Jake's Pub.

The Sanford & Dillman Hornets stung the Shuswap squad, 6-4, on July 2. Reg Hooper threw eight strike outs for the Hornets in the win. Jerome “Stumpy” Boyce threw seven for Shuswap.

On June 30, Shuswap came away with a 15-5 win over the Pharmasave bantam squad. Robin Gilbert pitched for Shuswap, while McMahon was on the mound for the bantams.

The Sanford & Dillman Hornets won 19-5 when they met the Pharmasave bantams on June 25. Mitch Payette threw four strike outs for the Hornets, while Mitchell Hooper threw six for the bantam squad.

On June 23, Shuswap beat Jake's Pub Old Puds, 10-4. Robin Gilbert hit five RBIs and Steven Daniels added two for Shuswap. Connor Edle threw eight strike outs for Jake's Pub, while scoring two RBIs.

Hail and rain delayed for 30 minutes a men's fastball league game in 100 Mile House between the Sanford & Dillman Hornets and Jake's Pub Old Buds on June 20. When the weather cleared, Hooper threw eight strikeouts for the Hornets and Parent threw three for Jake's Pub. The Hornets won, 12-7, thanks to home runs by Cale Tessaro in the fifth inning and Chris Edlund in the seventh.

A June 19 matchup between Shuswap and Exeter Sporting Goods came down to the last batter.

Stephen Meshue hit a single to bring in Linden Paul to win the game, 10-9, for Shuswap. Paul also made a fabulous catch in right field earlier in the game. Boyce pitched four strikeouts and Gilbert threw one for Shuswap. Branden Moore threw six strikeouts for Exeter in the tight ball game.

Jake's Pub and the Pharmasave bantams met on June 15. Parent pitched the 14-7 win for Jake's Pub. Mitchell Hooper and McMahon shared the mound for the bantams.
