Marmot offers no-pressure golf tourney

Marmot Ridge Golf Course is marking the season with their mixed Best Ball Tournament, scheduled to take place Sept. 24 in 100 Mile House.

It's a fun, no-pressure, nine-hole event with a barbecue on the deck and lots of prizes, says Caroline Jeffrey, the main co-ordinator.

"We're hoping participants will come out and have a great time and enjoy golfing."

Best ball means that after each person tees off on a hole, team members will decide whose ball is in best position and each will place their ball in that spot and shoot from there. The game will continue like that until their balls are sunk, and then move on to the next hole where the pattern will be repeated.

Cost is $30 per adult player and $25 for juniors. Tee-off time will be between 10:30 and 11 a.m.

Registration is being taken at Marmot Ridge until Sept. 22, and for more information, call 250-395-4169.
