Volleyball was the name of the game at Mile 108 Mile Elementary School, as the school hosted a full day of Grade 7 volleyball from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 25.
There was a full concession, lots of noise and many parents in attendance.
The round-robin tournament culminated with the Horse Lake Elementary School's top team and Mile 108 Elementary School's top team going head-to-head in the championship finals.
With everyone cheering, the game started off tense, as the two teams traded points points back-and-forth.
However, the Horse Lake players gradually pulled ahead 26 to 18, demonstrating better ball control and defensive skills.
Equally competitive in the tournament was 108 Mile's No/ 2 team, which received third place and Horse Lake's No. 2 team, which took fourth place.
There were a total of nine teams: Four teams from Horse Lake, three from 100 Mile House Elementary and two from Mile 108.
