The parking lot at the 105 Riding Arena was overflowing onto Tatton Road, attesting to the attendance at the annual Horse Bazaar on March 26-27.
"It was awesome," says organizer Randy Brodoway. "There wasn't one complaint, except maybe the parking.”All the vendors and participants had a great time."
He notes, however, attendance was down a bit from last year.
Over the two days, there were demonstrations on reining, driving, cutting and packing. The vendors included home-based businesses, youth tack booths and a lot of new products, says Brodoway.
"We had a fantastic time, and on Saturday night, everyone went to El Caballo for dinner. The meal was wonderful and it was nice for everyone to get a chance to visit."
Participants came from all over, including the Okanagan and northern Cariboo, Brodoway says.
The show took two days to set up, not counting the time to organize it, he adds, and it takes at least two days to tear down.
"I have to thank everyone who helped with this event."
Brodoway says he is looking forward to next year’s bazaar and promises it will be "bigger and better".
