108 Men's Day golfers back in the news

Men's Day at the 108 Resort Golf Course is alive and well.

The golf course is growing into prime condition attracting over 40 golfers on Wednesday with tee times starting at 1 p.m.

Shane Wilkie, Ervin Hannah and Al Smeds shot the best gross (before handicap) scores in their respective flights, each coming away with $30 for their efforts.

Mark Larson, Jamie Crellen and Laurie Miclash all came away with second low-gross prizes in their flights, each winning $20.

Guy Erickson, Met Boyson and Scott Saito each won $10 for their third-place low-gross finishes.

The long ball hitters for the evening were Matt McNeil, Brian Coldwell and Tony Lidstone, each receiving $10 for having the longest drive on hole No. 7 in their respective flights.

Closest-to-the-pin (KP) prizes on hole No. 4 were won by Shane (The Sniper) Wilkie and Ron (The Lazer) Vandermay for their flights.

Net-score winners - John Kuharski, Dennis Thompson and Gordon Spare - were awarded $30 for first place in their respective flights. Second place low net winners were Leonard V., Bill Stokes and Gary Desjardin each earning $20 for their solid play.

Third-place low-net winners for their flights were Jeff Kendy, Steve Randall and Ken Waite receiving $10 each.
