Low net, low gross on the scorecards at 108 Golf Resort

Summer is gone but the sun was shining warm for the 54 golfers who participated in the nine-hole 108 Resort Men's Club round on Sept. 25.

The round saw three flights of golfers tee off and games of longest drives and closest-to-the-pin (KP) on top of low-net and low-gross scoring.

Shane Wilkie hit the longest drive in the first flight on No. 16. Bob Wieduwilt hit longest in the second flight on No. 17. Bryant Hollins hit farthest on No. 18 in the third flight.

KP winners were Dave Robertson in the first flight and Bill Stokes in the second flight.

Al Smeds dropped the longest putt of the day on No. 18.

Wilkie was low-gross winner in the first flight with 32. Jim Laird was second with 36 and Chris Stevens was third with 39. Low-net winners were John Kuharski (31), James Seeley (35) and Al Sidor (35).

The second flight saw Wieduwilt shoot lowest gross with 39. Marvin Declare went second low gross with 40 and Merle Ross third with 42. Low net shooters were Bill Stoke (33), Dennis Thompson (35) and Ron Vandermay (35).

Larry McKave took home low gross honours in the third flight with 46. Allan Kregosky and Herm Dutchak each shot 48. Smeds and Carson Walker tied for low net in the third flight with 36. Ron Thurston put up a 38.
