The fifth Annual Golf Tournament for the Bethel Pentecostal Community Church (BPCC) is slated for Aug. 27, at Marmot Ridge Golf Course.
All proceeds from this tournament go towards the BPCC Cariboo Christian School, which is an independent school under the authority of the Bethel Society.
A $50 registration fee entitles you to a round of golf, a barbecue, prizes and the opportunity to win a trophy.
"I'm excited about this tourney," says tournament organizer Wendy Gunn. "It's open to the public; it's going to be a fun day."
This day is for everybody, Gunn says, adding people don't have to be great golfers to come out and have a good time.
She notes there will be a gift for everyone and good food. It is a Texas scramble, with tee off starting between 8 and 10 a.m., and the barbecue lunch starting at 12:30 p.m.
"We are looking for hole sponsors, so if there are any businesses who wish to be involved, they can give us a call. The sponsored holes cost $100, they will have signage and will be given a charitable receipt."
For more information or to register, call the BPCC at 250-395-4637 or e-mail Gunn at wlgunn@gmail.com.
