CROSS COUNTRY RUN
Cross country runners in Grades 2 – 7 have been practising for the upcoming Cross Country Race taking place Thursday, May 18 (today) at Mile 108 Elementary. Students from several local elementary schools will be participating from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
LADIES AND MENS GOLF
25 Ladies enjoyed sunshine, clouds and sometimes cool temperatures. A smattering of snow pellets near the end but the sun did come out again. The Ann Pinkney team, comprised of Maureen Pinkney and Annie McKave, placed first. On the men’s side 39 golfers came out for the Breakfast Open on May 7 in four flights and 47 golfers came out on May 10 also in four flights. SOCCER BATTLE
The Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School girls’ soccer team played at the zone tournament in Prince George on the weekend. Despite competitive play throughout the tournament, the girls lost in a shootout during the bronze medal match.
