CARPET BOWLING

100 Mile House is currently hosting the 2017 Provincial Carpet Bowling Championship. The event is running from May 1 to May 5. In total, there are 64 bowlers making up teams of pairs, triples and fours and have come to town. The event is being held at the Community Hall (Birch Ave.), with a banquet and ceremonies at the Creekside Seniors Activity Centre.

108 LADIES GOLF CLUB

If you’re looking to whack some balls, you’re in luck. The new season is about to start and new members, as well as existing members, are welcome. Their first meeting will be Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the Hanger Restaurant across from the 108 Resort.

PLAYERS WANTED

The Williams Lake Men’s Soccer Association is looking to attract 100 Mile players. Registration is now open via www.williamslakesoccer.com. The season will run from May through the end of July with games on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Prior to the May long weekend, there will be open men’s drop-in games on May 9, 11, 16 and 18.
