Canucks game steals 108 golfers

A nice course and even better weather on June 1 for men's night at the 108 Golf Resort were no match for a Stanley Cup playoff game scheduled for the same evening.

Hockey won hands down, resulting in just 40 golfers showing up for the game.

Choosing the links over hockey worked out well for Terry Palasty who was the first flight low-gross winner. Guy Erickson finished in second place. Matt McNeil took the low-net honours, and Dean McNeil took second place.

The second flight low-gross winner was Bob Wieduwilt, followed by John Kuharski in second place.

Dennis Thompson was the low-net winner, with Jamie Crellin taking second place.

Third flight competition saw Herm Dutchak as the low-gross leader and Peter Messner finished second. Al Smeds was the low-net winner, followed by Ron Thurston.
