Big turnout for Marmot’s Ladies Night

Record turnout for Ladies Night at Marmot Ridge Golf Course in 100 Mile

Ladies Night spokesperson Lynda Lewis says they had their largest turnout of the year with 51 women golfing on a perfect evening at Marmot Ridge Golf Course on June 22.

“Well, it was perfect except for the bugs on the last few holes.”

Donna White was closest to the ribbon on hole No. 1, while Janet Herrick took the closest-to-the-hole (KP) prize for her first shot on No. 2.

Sharon Goshorn hit her ball farthest into the gulch on No. 3, with Linda Hames pounding the long drive on No. 4, and Becky Lewis hitting the short drive on No. 5.

Carol Ohlund grabbed the KP on her third shot on No. 6, which gave her the only birdie for $51 pot.

Becky Pincott got the long drive on No. 7, while Hollis Ney sank the long putt on No. 8, and Val Nickless picked up the KP with her first shot on No. 9.

The format was total score for odd holes only.

Carol Smith had the high score, and Lori Henderson and Kim Torgerson shared the low score of 21 shots.

The hidden hole, worth $100, was a carry-over, and the big putt for $199 was also carried over when Torgerson missed by a mere three inches.
