The membership of the South Cariboo Aquatic Society (SCAS) has grown to more than 600, says advertising and public relations director Lori Fry.
The society’s annual general meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on May 3 in the Lion's Den boardroom (next to the concession) at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre on Airport Road in 100 Mile House.
A membership in good standing will give folks voting privileges at this meeting, Fry says, adding the public is welcome to attend and see what’s happening with the SCAS.
Folks are encouraged to bring their friends, neighbours and co-workers.
She notes membership forms will also be available at the meeting.
”It is very important to maintain awareness of our cause and keep the drive alive. The funds raised from membership dues go towards covering the cost of advertising and participation in public events.”
