Team wins two games in Clearwater

Local Novice team doubled up on Clearwater and got great goaltending

The 100 Mile House novice team travelled to Clearwater for a couple of games on Jan. 7. They came home with a couple of victories and a great road trip experience.

100 Mile House Novice players went to Clearwater on Jan. 7 to play two games and they won both of them.

In the first game, Carter Krueger got a hat trick.

Sean Moore got a sweet pass from Preston Frizzi, which Moore buried into the back of the net.

Frizzi was digging for the puck and got the fourth goal.

Tyler McCausland gave Krueger a nice pass which ended up into another goal.

The final score was 9-4 in favour of 100 Mile House.

Evan Carmont was the goalie and his play was phenomenal, says team spokesperson Corinne Moore.

Second game

Ryler Hooper scored the first goal against Clearwater in the second game.

Evan Buchi notched the second goal in the opening frame.

McCausland gave Krueger a great pass and he tucked it into the Clearwater net in the second period.

Tucker Gust scored the fourth goal after being set up by Hooper.

During the last two minutes in the second stanza, Moore gave a hard pass to Krueger and the puck bounced into the back of the net.

The third period saw Krueger score with the assist going to Frizzi.

The second goal of the third period was scored by Frizzi with the assist going to Moore.

The eighth goal was scored by Sarah Tinney.

Jackson Sutton was between the pipes and he saved numerous goals, Moore says.

"It was a great game and all of the players had a blast."

The final score for the second game was 8-4 in favour of 100 Mile.
