The Peewee Rep Milers were off to Kamloops for two OMAHA league games on Jan. 21-22 weekend.

Game 1

Going into the first game the 100 Mile squad knew that the tier three Kamloops team was going to be tough competition.

Kyson Hopson put the Jayco Plumbing and Heating Milers on the board first with an awesome pass from teammate Gibson Fast. Then Hopson kept the momentum going and scored the second goal.

Kamloops then came back with two goals.

With three seconds left in the first period, Hopson got his hat trick with a sweet pass from winger Corey Harding.

Going into the second, the Kamloops squad shifted into overdrive and potted five goals. The Milers could not find the back of the net and went scoreless.

Kamloops got one more in the third but the 100 Mile team was not giving up. Hopson used his speed and added the last goal. Goalie Joey Isaac was crazy busy as he faced 75 shots. The final was 8-4 for Kamloops.

Game 2

Sunday's game saw Kamloops score first. Then Hopson found the back of the net with an assist from Brady Huryn and Shane Sutton.

With the 100 Mile team on a power play, Hopson made a killer slap shot from a spectacular pass from Aidan Moore and Corey Harding. Kamloops then tied it up to end the first.

Going into the second, the 100 Mile team was shaken up after a teammate had to leave the game due to a penalty. Kamloops took advantage and scored five goals.

In the third period, the game started getting very physical with penalties given out like candy. Emotions were flying high and the game continued to get physical on both sides.

Then another 100 Mile teammate had to leave the game due to a penalty. Kamloops then went on a vengeance and hammered seven more goals.

Then A. Moore skated hard into the Kamloops end and put a great pass out to Jackson Hooper who scored the last goal for the 100 Mile team. Goalie Kyle Harding was busy with over 68 shots. The game ended 14-3 in Kamloops' favour.
