Ideas welcomed to revive fall fair

Business, agriculture, arts interests to be gauged

The South Cariboo Fall Fair could come back to life by 2017 if community groups can brainstorm ways to resuscitate the popular event.

The South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce, South Cariboo Agri-Culture Enterprise Centre (AEC) and the 100 Mile & District Arts Council would like to invite the community to bring their ideas to a "Meeting of the Minds."

All interested individuals and organization representatives are encouraged to join the community meeting on Sept. 10, 1-3 p.m. in the 100 Mile House Curling Club Lounge. (Don't bring any children, as minors are not permitted in this venue).

AEC representative Rita Giesbrecht says the reason for the meeting is to discuss bringing a Fall Fair back to the South Cariboo.

"We all know we need, and want a South Cariboo Fall Fair. If you are interested in participating in any way, please come to this round table discussion."
