Family Enrichment Centre receives donation

The Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre received a donation from the staff at the Western Financial Group

The Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre was the recipient of funding from the staff at the Western Financial Group.

Through the efforts of the annual Support the Cause Walk, the local Western Financial Group office staff raised a total of $1,151.70 for the Western Communities Foundation, the charitable arm of Western Financial Group.

Branch Manager Angela Williams explained that the funds raised are divided in half; $575.85 will be donated to the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre, and the remaining half will go to the Foundation which provides $5000 infrastructure grants & bursaries.

In the past, the Western Communities Foundation supported the 100 Mile House Waterpark Society, 100 Mile House Minor Soccer, the Agriplex, and assorted bursaries for students graduating from the Peter Skene Ogden Senior Secondary.

Chris Pettman accepted the donation on behalf of the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre which will directly fund their Family Emergency Fund.
