The Peter Skene Ogden (PSO) senior girls' soccer team captured bronze during the North Central Zone AA Championships at the 100 Mile Soccer Fields on May 15-16.

The lady Eagles had their wings clipped in Sunday's first-game 3-0 shutout against the eventual champions Duchess Park of Prince George. Despite being out-gunned, however, the local girls played a spirited game and showed a lot of grit and determination.

The Eagles soared in their second game on Sunday against the top seed DP Todd, as they defeated the Prince George squad 1-0.

PSO finished the four-team tournament action with a 1-1 tie against Nechako Valley on Monday morning.

The Eagles finished tied for second with DP Todd with identical 1-1-1 records, but had to settle for bronze on goals for and against differential.

Duchess Park now advances to the provincial championships.
