Our Team

Martina Dopf
Group Publisher
I started my career with the 100 Mile Free Press as a sales consultant back in 2005. Over the years, I moved up the ladder and took on the position of publisher in 2016. Two years later, in 2018, I assumed the role of Group Publisher for the BC Interior, which gave me an oversight of several publications, including the 100 Mile Free Press, Ashcroft-Cache Creek Journal, the North Thompson Star/Journal, and the Clearwater Times. Prior to my move to Canada in 2003, I had completed my Bachelor's degree in International Business and Management, with a focus on Marketing and Public Relations, from the University of Applied Sciences in Nuertingen, Germany.

Fiona Grisswell
Multimedia Journalist
I graduated from the Writing and New Media Program at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George in 2004. I worked as a graphic designer at a local copy centre before becoming manager. When the business was bought out by a Vancouver based company I was promoted to Director of Print and Promo for Northern BC, overseeing five locations in central and northern BC. I moved to Lone Butte in 2019 and got my start with the 100 Mile Free Press as the Lone Butte correspondent in 2021. I joined the staff full-time as a multi-media journalist in May of 2022.

Patrick Davies
Multimedia Journalist
Originally from Georgetown, PEI, Patrick Davies has spent the bulk of his life in Edmonton, Alberta. A 2018 graduate of the Southern Albertan Institute of Technology's Journalism program, Patrick cut his teeth as an intern at the Spruce Grove Examiner before jumping at the opportunity to work for the Williams Lake Tribune. In 2020 he moved to 100 Mile House to work for the Free Press. An avid lover of theatre, media, and the arts in all its forms, Patrick has enjoyed building his professional reputation in 100 Mile House.

Sabrina Ede
Multimedia Marketing Specialist
I graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Marketing and New Venture Creation in 2017. I joined Black Press Media in 2018 starting my career at the Vernon Morning Star. My husband and I decided to make the move in 2021 to 100 Mile House. I am excited to help the businesses in the community with all of their Marketing needs!

Deb Theoret
Creative Services Coordinator
I have worked at the 100 Mile Free Press for 27 years, starting at the front desk and then moving into pagination and ad design shortly after. I have created thousands of ads and thousands of pages over the past years. I also coordinate the communication between our creative team and our papers across the BC North division to ensure effective and timely workflow.

Sara Komer
Office Administrator
I started as the Office Administrator with the 100 Mile Free Press in October 2018. Having just moved from Calgary it was a nice change getting to be a part of a small-town community. Getting to know the locals as they come in each week to pick up their papers has been a nice perk of the job.

Kim Kimberlin (She/Her)
Community Projects Content Producer
My journey into writing began as a child filling journals with my observations and eventually, using my camera. As a young adult, I started working as a photographer, later returning to school to study fine arts. After taking an elective in women’s studies, I pivoted and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice from UBC. I spent my next chapter working as a photographer and writer in the USA before returning to BC to work as a full-time writer for Black Press Media. I love the sunshine, books, and getting lost in conversations with friends.
