I started my career with the 100 Mile Free Press as a sales consultant back in 2005. Over the years, I moved up the ladder and took on the position of publisher in 2016. Two years later, in 2018, I assumed the role of Group Publisher for the BC Interior, which gave me an oversight of several publications, including the 100 Mile Free Press, Ashcroft-Cache Creek Journal, the North Thompson Star/Journal, and the Clearwater Times. Prior to my move to Canada in 2003, I had completed my Bachelor's degree in International Business and Management, with a focus on Marketing and Public Relations, from the University of Applied Sciences in Nuertingen, Germany.

I graduated from the Writing and New Media Program at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George in 2004. I worked as a graphic designer at a local copy centre before becoming manager. When the business was bought out by a Vancouver based company I was promoted to Director of Print and Promo for Northern BC, overseeing five locations in central and northern BC. I moved to Lone Butte in 2019 and got my start with the 100 Mile Free Press as the Lone Butte correspondent in 2021. I joined the staff full-time as a multi-media journalist in May of 2022.

I have created thousands of ads and thousands of pages over the past years. Office Administrator

I started as the Office Administrator with the 100 Mile Free Press in October 2018. Having just moved from Calgary it was a nice change getting to be a part of a small-town community. Getting to know the locals as they come in each week to pick up their papers has been a nice perk of the job.

Kim Kimberlin (She/Her)
Community Projects Content Producer
My journey into writing began as a child filling journals with my observations and eventually, using my camera. As a young adult, I started working as a photographer, later returning to school to study fine arts. After taking an elective in women’s studies, I pivoted and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice from UBC. I spent my next chapter working as a photographer and writer in the USA before returning to BC to work as a full-time writer for Black Press Media. I love the sunshine, books, and getting lost in conversations with friends.
