To the editor:
I would like to thank the driver who flashed his or her high beams at me south of 70 Mile House on the evening of Nov. 17.
I believe you saved my life.
There was a four-point buck standing in my lane and this driver was the only reason why I am able to send this note on the very same evening.
I hope people are aware of this road etiquette and slow down when high beams are flashed. I had 20 metres or less to react once I crested the hill, but the signal allowed me to gear down and prepare for something ahead.
Again, thank you with all my heart.
