The Interlakes Horse Club hosted a highly successful awards/silent auction/dinner-dance night, on Dec. 2, with some 85 guests. The incredibly well-supported auction of over 30 quality items raised more than $2,500; while the club’s cookie fundraiser brought in a further $205 which will go towards the club’s new timer for gymkhanas.
Overall High-Point Awards by age groups went to:
(7-12) Annie Gauvin on Houston.
(13-19) Sage Veninga on Misty.
(Adult/19-39). Kaylee Bird on Sako.
Select (40+) Sabrina Veninga on Laredo.
Kaylee Bird was awarded Overall Champion.
Sabrina Veninga was awarded Overall Reserve Champion.
Terri Brown received the 2023 Sportsmanship Award.
The IHC is enormously grateful to its very generous sponsors and donors, and thanks everyone for a wonderful night.

Within her new premises she is offering reflexology, pedicures/manicures, massage, fitness, yoga, and a day spa. Before long, she will be providing a class schedule. She is booking up fast, but will happily receive your request for an appointment at 250-706-3912 or cvwellnessbc@gmail.com.
Line dancing returns to Interlakes Community Centre
Lynn Gerwing is bringing her line-dancing class back to Interlakes Community Centre (ICC): 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesdays, starting Jan. 9. Lynn notes that the only charge is the hall’s drop-in fee of $2 for members, $3 for non-members, as she “enjoys it too much to charge a fee” for her tutelage!
Interlakes Christmas Giftboxes
ICC is most grateful to the many residents who stepped up to fill the boxes and volunteer their services to make this a happy Christmas for our less fortunate families. Referencing my Dec. 7 column which asked for urgent help, coordinator Susan Pizzuto said, “The response has been amazing with both food donations and volunteering. Thank you all.”
Greetings
