Editor,

Some of the local churches have got together to organize a Prayer Day for Peace in the World. This is an open invitation to anyone who feels strongly about the issue of World Peace.

The idea is for people to say quiet prayers during the day of September 27 at any time, any place. Considering the state of the world we feel it is time for action. There is not much that us ordinary citizens can do except pray. It won't matter who you are or where you are, if you feel so inclined, say a short prayer. At the end of the day, we will gather at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy's Anglican Church #106 Blackstock Road.

If the floor isn't finished we will put a notice on the door and meet at the United Church at 7:15 p.m. #49 Dogwood Avenue. If you can't make it to th evening gathering that is ok, just say your prayers during your busy day.

We hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Jan Baker
