It's with sad hearts we announce that Yves Joseph Roy, age 69, died Saturday, May 5th 2018, in 100 Mile House, BC. Yves passed away peacefully in the arms of his family following a tragic car accident and his battle with Cancer.

Yves is survived by his 4 children, David, Sylvia, Nicole and Merissa; his grandchildren Justin,

Kaitlyn, Sarah, Dylan, Ella, Lenard, Silas, Cara and Sage; and his brother Michel.

He is preceded in death by his parents Isidore and Madeleine, and sister, Suzanne. His little Chihuahua, Ru, will also miss him greatly.

Yves was born June 17, 1948 in Verdun, Quebec. He came to BC in the 1970's and made the Cariboo his home for the past 32 years. He worked in the Forestry Industry and was employed by West Fraser Mill until his retirement in 2009.

Yves was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He had a passion for fishing, cars and sports (especially hockey). He had many friends throughout the Cariboo and will be remembered for his energetic spirit, quirky sense of humour and big heart.

The family would like to thank the Hospital staff and Hospice workers in100 Mile House for being so kind and caring during Yves' last days.

A celebration of life will be held on his beloved property on Saturday, July 7th, 2018.
