Jul 8, 1927 - Mar 3, 2018
In memory of William Turner Spelay July 1927 to March 2018.

The son of Fred and Anne Spelay, along with 11 siblings, Bill was raised and schooled in Enderby BC, playing many sports. He had a passion for baseball, hockey, and fishing.

In Bills earlier days he worked as a railroader and as well as a logger (horse teams to machinery).

Bill was married to the late Edna Bernice Lovestead. Later, after starting a career in professional barbering, Bill and his wife Edna moved to Cache Creek BC. There he continued his barbering practice. Bill would often enjoy visiting and volunteering his time for the seniors at the Jackson House in Ashcroft BC.

Many years were spent at the barbershop in Cache Creek where Bill would tell one-liners and listen to fishing stories while cutting hair. Bill was known to many as "Chainsaw Bill" and to others as "Billy-Moon".

Bill passed away peacefully at the 100 Mile Hospital with family at his side. By gods grace may Bill and Edna rest in peace together at Dempsey Lake BC. There will be no service at this time by request.
