William Joseph “Bill” Adams, age 81 of 100 Mile House, passed away on June 10, 2010 at 100 Mile District Hospital.

He was born November 9, 1928 in Braddock, North Dakota, USA. Bill grew up in Forks, Washington. He served in the US Armed Forces in Japan and Korea, from 1949 – 1951.

Bill enjoyed basketball, and was a player and coach to many kids. He also enjoyed hockey.

Bill worked in the logging industry for most of his life.

He is survived by his wife Marianne, five children: William, Eve Ann “Pinky”, Andrew, Robert, Margaret, and by numerous brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 100 Mile Funeral Home, 225 Cedar Avenue, 100 Mile House.

Memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 267 Borland St., Williams Lake, BC, V2G 1R4.

The family would like to thank the home care nurses, the staff, nurses and doctors at 100 Mile District Hospital for their care and compassion shown while looking after their father.
