January 14, 1920 - June 2, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Vivian Kathleen "Toody" Shirran on June 02, 2019 in her home, at the age of 99 years, 4 months and 2 weeks.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her daughter Vicky, husband Bill and Toody's younger sister Stella "Tink" Shirran she is currently of Canim Lake, BC.
Vivian was born in Weiser, Idaho USA on January 14, 1920. Her family moved to the Cariboo when she was just 5 years old. As pioneers of the Canim Lake area, the sisters grew up in a harsh environment, setting traplines and skinning squirrels.
Vivian's passion for horses began at a young age. She became a hard working and very proficient horse logger. Vivian's horse logging career began with the Jenz family and she worked with many outfits throughout the years. There were winter months when Vivian and her team of horses out performed the new mechanical logging equipment.
Vivian will always be remembered for her amazing musical talents and her friendly ways.
There will be no service at this time.
