The family of Vikki sadly announces her passing after a courage battle with cancer.
Vikki grew up in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to 100 Mile House, where she worked at Employment Canada for many years. She married her husband Rick and their life happily continued as a team.
She is survived by her son Greg McAuley (Lora), her daughter Kimberly Fraser, her sister Olga and her brother Johnny.
Vikki was deeply involved in the Ladies Softball League and worked on the executive as President of the Ball Club for many years. She immediately conscripted Rick to be her Maintenance Manager along with his trusty lawn mower and tool box. Many weekends were spent playing baseball and some firm friendships were formed during those years.
There will be no service by request, although family and friends will gather at a later date.
Vikki will always be remembered and loved. RIP Vikki, and have a great game - you were a winner!
The family wishes to thank the amazing nurses and aides at the 100 Mile and District Hospital for their exceptional care shown to Vikki. Special thanks to Dr. Nicolson, Dr. Montgomery, and Dr. Hutchinson for their compassion and kindness. We further wish to thank Vikki's friends who came to visit and cheer her up.
