Devoted husband of 47 years to Greta-Mae (deceased); dedicated father to Becky, Tom (Stephanie), Trevor (Jenny) and foster daughter Nathalie; cherished Grand-dad to Brooke and Tommy; beloved brother to Betsy and George (both deceased); adored uncle and cousin; decorated policeman with 27 years of exemplary service with the Vancouver Police Department; he was highly respected and greatly loved by all those lucky enough to call him friend. A true son of the Cariboo, Tom was born in 1935 to Molly and Gilbert Forbes. He left the Cariboo to raise his family and pursue a distinguished career in law enforcement. He returned to the land he loved 17 years ago. Tom was a remarkable man who will be missed by the entire community. A memorial service will be held at Rolf Zeis Memorial Arena in Lac la Hache, B.C. on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local minor hockey league association.
