April 28, 1956 - April 15, 2022
In loving memory ~
With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Alvin Barrick, on April 15, 2022. To many of his friends he was simply known as "Bear".
Terry was born in Williams Lake and resided his entire life in the Lac la Hache/100 Mile House area. You could always find him playing hockey, baseball, golfing, snowmobiling, hunting or fishing. He enjoyed traveling to sunny and warm destinations where he always seemed to find a sandy beach with a volleyball net that was calling his name. Wherever Terry went there was sure to be laughter and fun times to be had.
Terry was very much a family man. Over the years he had the good fortune to work with his father and both of his brothers in the family logging business. Terry was so happy when he had the opportunity to work alongside his son Lee. He was very proud of the 3 generations within the logging company. He was also very excited when he became a grandfather and loved the sound of "Poppa."
Terry was predeceased by his parents Donald & Madeleine and is survived by his wife Jo-Anne, brothers Kelly (Jacquie) & Todd (Lori), daughter Nikki (Ray), son Lee (Kathryn), 5 grandchildren, Isabelle, Sophia, Cooper, Carter, Colton, many nephews and 1 niece.
A special thank you to Dr. Montgomery, Chelsea, Jamie, Jillian and Patty whose kindness will always be remembered. And to the amazing staff at the 100 Mile Hospital, who took such great care of him during his last days, thank you to you all.
At Terry's request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
